Who is Ms. Sew & Sew

I love all things creative, whether it be with fabric, paint, wood, paper, or food. If you can build it, construct it, bake it, or create it, I'm game!

As the child of a home economics teacher I learned to cook and sew at an early age. My mom "let" me iron my dad's hankies, and dress shirts before I could ride a two-wheeler. When I was 8 I entered 4H. I was pretty successful in sewing construction and fashion review during my ten years in 4H.

I have a teaching degree from Indiana University and taught third grade for 6 years, until I retired to have my first baby. I reentered the work force and spent 15 years as the Children's Ministry Director at my church. This amazing job allowed me to raise my children (of which I have 4 now: 19 yrs, 16, and 11 year old twins) and continue doing what I love, being with kids and their families, and teaching.

I have been teaching sewing classes to 4Hers on and off for 30+ years. I loved that so much I decided to make sewing classes for everyone my new full time business. .

The Sewing Studio

Ms. Sew and Sew's Studio is equipped with all of the things you will need to create something wonderful.  I have 5 sewing machines, 6 irons and ironing boards,  sergers, and all of the measuring, cutting and hand sewing tools you'll need.  Our space is warm and cozy.  It's the perfect spot to come in after a long day at school or work, take off your shoes (or leave them on) and create with a tribe of ladies who find their calm in creating.
